Mind Over Matter

I have been talking to myself a lot lately, and it is helping me spell out some bigger concepts. Let’s start with the point. What is the point, you may ask? Or perhaps you know the point, or rather have a thought and an opinion, that you think matters. The truth of the matter is that your point, or the point, is not the only point in existence. If I am stuck on a point, it is helpful to remember that there is another point out there. In fact, the fact that this other point exists, is exactly what makes my point matter. Take light and dark or good and evil for example. Does your belief in God accentuate or delete my lack of belief? Hence the atheist and the believer. For there to be a believer, the lack of belief must also exist. Faith without works is dead. For me to practice my faith, I need darkness or evil’s shadow to exist. I am not saying that atheists are evil, rather very much the opposite. Then there is light and dark. The moon is a fascinating thing, because it reflects the light of the sun when we are on the side of the planet that is in the shade so to speak. It is a reminder that light still exists, still we are in the dark. So are you over God, or are you under God? We are one nation “under God”, but we are also a country full of people that are very triggered by the subject of God and therefore refute this word or concept. Back to the Freedom of speech, which is very much a current discussion for Americans, and perhaps the world… it applies to everyone. When we speak, write, talk, we are often expressing a point. But our point is not the only point and truly mustn’t be. In order to be a free society, we must allow each person to have a voice, and to allow them their very own freedom of speech. Proving multiple points reflects the diversity that is the human experience. This diversity helps us learn from eachother and makes society intelligent. If the only point that matters is that of the supreme ruler, we lose our intelligence and diversity. We stop evolving, and essentially we die. This is very unsustainable. We do not want humanity to die, I think we all can agree on that.

So, one person being over God, and one person essentially being under God where we choose to give our life over to the care of a God of our understanding and seek the will of God rather than are own, are both perfectly fine. If I am over God, I challenge a person who is a believer to expand their awareness and grow. Still, your belief in God does not stop just because I may believe that God in fact does not exist. All of it is okay. Also, not believing in God does not effect that God does exist for a “believer”. That is not the point. Nor is getting everyone to think exactly like you. And for all intents and purposes, there is more than One God and No God, there are all the shades in between. There are the many. Yes people, there is a third party, and this is what our discussion has been about for some time. How is there more than one, or two, genders? There are countless genders, and there are countless points, and all these genders contribute to our diversity and intelligence as a collective species. It is okay to learn to count to three. But first count to two, don’t get too far ahead of yourself. Once you accept that there is another point, another voice other than your own, you can naturally flow to the reality that there are three and therefore many. Still, we all need a voice. We need the freedom to exercise using this voice and expressing our opinions through our art in whatever way we can or choose to. We make many choices in this life. Not just one. Not just two, but countless choices. Having a voice is a choice we all can, or rather get to make. We must live in a society that protects our freedoms, and our choices. I choose God, you choose no God, and Betty chooses several. Multiple options does not make your belief in God any less important, to you. Rather, it may help you define your colors, to know that more than one color exists. Existence is evolution. It is okay to compare and connect, and ultimately learn and evolve. But one point does not and cannot exist. Simple maths. Your point, with many points, becomes a line. Many lines all together become a plane. Many planes all together creates the third dimension. And here we begin to evolve and meet reality right where it has always been. Awareness is key, as is acceptance. I have been on a long and tenuous journey to find reality. Who knew that more than one reality exists? Many realities make up reality in general. I am one of many, and still very important at the same time.
